Our Story
Our story began in Chicago, where we spent our early years exploring the city one bite at a time. From cozy neighborhood restaurants to long weekend walks that always ended with a new coffee shop – or a slice of tavern-style pizza – we loved soaking in the city’s energy. We spent evenings taking in skyline views from the planetarium, cheering on the Cubs at Wrigley Field, and swimming in Lake Michigan during the fleeting warm months. It was the city where our relationship took root and where we first began building a life that felt like home.
After a few years, we traded lake breezes for Texas heat and moved to Houston. The change of pace (and weather) was dramatic, but we quickly found our rhythm. Our days were filled with sunshine, lazy afternoons by the pool, and—true to form—plenty of incredible Mexican food. We got into a regular routine of playing sand volleyball, spent countless evenings at Texans and Astros games, and even made it to a Final Four—one of our favorite sports memories. Before long, Houston felt like home, too.
Eventually, work and life brought us to Salt Lake City, where a new kind of adventure began. We swapped skyline views for mountain trails, and for the first time in our lives, found ourselves actually looking forward to winter. Our first ski lesson was unforgettable—one of us managed to trigger a full stop on the magic carpet lift, earning some very confused looks and words of encouragement from a crowd of five-year-olds. Salt Lake is also where we adopted our dog, Lassi, who’s now the center of our home and our favorite companion, no matter the season.
Each chapter – from Chicago to Houston to Salt Lake – has shaped us in its own way. Along the way, we’ve built a life that feels grounded, lighthearted, and uniquely ours. We are grateful for all the relationships we have built along the way and can’t wait to bring our favorite people together to celebrate the next step in our journey.

Color Palette: Yellow or orange
Location: Bugambilias Gazebo
A cherished pre-wedding ritual where family and friends apply turmeric paste to the couple as a blessing for good fortune, happiness, and glowing skin. Lunch will be served.
Welcome Party & Mehendi | 6–9:00 PM
Dress Code: Indian attire or resort-chic evening wear.
Location: Lily Garden (Moon Palace Grand)
We’re kicking off the celebrations with lively dance performances, followed by dinner and lawn games by the beach! Guests can mingle and enjoy beautiful mehendi designs throughout the evening.
Friday, March 13th
Baraat | 9:00–10:00 AM
* Groom’s Side: Palapa 85 (Moon Palace Nizuc)
* Bride’s Side: Tucan Terrace (Moon Palace Nizuc)
Join us for the baraat, where the groom makes his grand entrance surrounded by music, dancing, and celebration. Family and friends are welcome to walk along and join the festivities on the way to the wedding ceremony.
Wedding Ceremony | 10:00–12:00 PM
Dress Code: Indian traditional
Location: Tucan Beach (Moon Palace Nizuc)
A traditional Hindu wedding ceremony with sacred rituals and blessings as Courtney and Meet are united in marriage. Lunch will follow.
Friday, March 13th

Location: Star Foyer (Moon Palace Sunrise)
Enjoy light bites and signature drinks before the evening celebration begins. Transportation will be provided to take guests to the reception venue.
Reception | 7:00–11:00 PM
Dress Code: Formal Attire (Dress/Suit)
Location: Star Ballroom (Moon Palace Sunrise)
An evening of dinner, drinks, and dancing to close out the celebrations.
The Venue
Moon Palace is an all-inclusive resort, so your stay includes all food, drinks, and amenities. Located just 15-minutes from Cancún International Airport, it’s easy to arrive and start relaxing right away!
The resort is family-friendly, and kids 17 & under stay for free.
We would love for you to spend more time with us in paradise! If you are able to stay 4 or more nights, your stay will include:
* A resort credit per room for spa treatments, golf, and gourmet dining
* Free round-trip airport transfers
-Don’t forget to select these perks when booking your room so they’re applied to your reservation.
Must Book in the Wedding Block
As per the resort policy, all wedding guests MUST book their rooms through the special link below. Any guests who books their room through a third party website, including but not limited to, the actual resort website (instead of our link), expedia, Kayak, Costco Travel, etc. will be considered to be booked OUTSIDE of the wedding room block and will NOT be able to access the wedding events without additional fees being imposed.
